What a day. Started with real excitement as I hooked up with a bunch of
mates at a new parking spot. Looked like it was going to be a perfect 5.7
day, which I wasn't expecting. Lugged all my kit to the beach (long way)
and rigged quick. Had a quick blast and then came in to put some more
downhaul on. Small glitch as the rope snapped, so had to de-rig to go and
get my spare extension. Rich suggested changing down too, so bowed to his
local knowlege and trawled back to get my 5.0. Initially was a only just
getting going, but the wind quickly started to build and it was the perfect
set up for the afternoon. First outing in a summer suit this year too.
Sailed upwind to nose around 'little Maui', and could see its potential,
but it wasn't very big. Have a horrible feeling I'm going to get rinsed
there on this comig Fri!
